White Thread Count is pure abstraction at its most liberated. Contemporary abstract art has followed a long and winding road that has today expanded into a multitude of directions and possibilities.  This could also be said for this oil painting, White Thread Count holds a multitude of possibilities both visually and within the imagination.  

Yet while there is something undoubtedly vague and indistinct, with regards to this four piece set of oil paintings; there is also something within it that can be defined, and they can also be counted. The white threads ask us to be counted and by doing so we are drawn into the painting without complication or intricacy.    

From the most obscure and intense red, through orange and yellow; bold colors and round geometric forms sit well within this composition. White Thread Count canvas art is non-objective and non-representational in many ways. Yet we know it is representational in some way because it surely reminds us of something.

Contemporary abstraction such as this is complete in that it bares no reference to natural forms; yet in these forms are indeed natural,  intriguing and visually stimulating, lines become threads without the need to understand their complexity or even admire their simplicity:  Leaving the viewer free to simply enjoy the experience of the White Thread Count.
