Starry Nights is a hand painted reproduction of Dutch painter Vincent Van Gogh’s oil painting widely known as Starry Night Over the Rhone. De sterrennacht (as it was originally titled in the painters’ language) or Starry Night as it is often referred to now is considered to be Van Gogh’s greatest art work: A masterpiece from the father of Impressionism and one of the most influential artists of the twentieth century.

The original oil painting was created by Van Gogh in1888 while he was at the Sanatorium in Arles. This is the view from his bedroom window and although it depicts the view at night, it was actually worked on during the day: Therefore, this oil painting was produced from memory.

For almost seventy years, Starry Night has been part of the permanent exhibition in New York’s Museum of Modern Art.
