Naked Valley is a wonderful expressionist artwork that reminds of Egon Schiele’s style of landscape painting. The famous Austrian painter is known for his unique erotic figures but in fact many of his works were landscapes. The lack of bright colors, the earthly shades of brown and grey create the sense of humbleness and remorse. The pale background does not appear empty.
