Lavender in Love resembles two planets coming together at the sun. Looking closer we can see that each planet has its own texture yet where they come together the surface is neutral – smooth. This in an abstract oil painting although not pure abstract in that it is representational. Three circles intersect to create essential form and texture has been added to create interest. Even so, the colors are the most representational aspect of Lavender in Love.
