This version of Pablo Picasso’s Acrobat and Young Harlequin - Acrobate et jeune Arlequin - was created with oils on canvas in Paris in 1905. Today the original is part of the collection at the Barnes Foundation, Lincoln University, Merion in Pennsylvania, USA. Picasso also created a very different version in gouache and pastel on cardboard earlier the same year which is part of the collection at the National Museum of Art in Osaka, Japan – To avoid confusion.
