The famous Blue Four - Kandinsky, Klee, Jawelensky, and Feininger – were the first to exhibit abstract oil expressionist paintings in America. After a series of exhibitions in 1924 the new generation of US painters started to experiment with the concepts of this progressive art form. One of the most famous of the times being Georgia O’Keeffe. In 1944 Kandinsky died but his legacy never has: Abstract Anxiety is a contemporary vision of abstract expressionism which became an admired 'showcase' for the American Arts.
